CHIME faculty, alumni, and scientists connect with RCMARs across the country at the 2026 Annual Meeting in Rockville, MD

With the coordination of NIA, UCLA, and UCSD administrators, RCMAR convened the 2026 Annual National Meeting at NIA Fishers Lane in Rockville, MD on June 29-30.  The Geological Society of America hosted a reception to reconnect with the program and foster the connections between sites and program officers.  CHIME scientists and alumni (Utibe Essien, Carlos Oronce, Max Nguemeni, and Adys Mendizabal) join UCLA RCMAR CHIME faculty (Carol Mangione, Homero del Pino, Luisa Blanco) along with other RCMAR program directors after a day full of sessions with NIA program officers, plenary presentations, and WIPS breakout groups.  Current scientist Kristen Choi, Frederick Ferguson and Program Administrator Cristina Punzalan also attend the conference but are not pictured.
