RCMAR CHIME 2027-28 Pilot Award Application

It is with great pleasure that we announce our Request for Applications (RFA) for one-year pilot study awards for up to $55,000 for the academic year 2027-28.  Applications from entry-level and mid-level faculty and post-doctoral fellows are being accepted. Applicants must have a faculty or post-doctoral fellow appointment between 07/01/2027 and 6/30/2028 at UCLA or another academic institution/organization in Southern California.

Funded applicants will conduct a pilot research project focused on health among older adult populations and participate in mentoring/educational activities. Candidates who have received RCMAR funding in the past and would like to apply for funds should contact the Program Administrator (see contact below). RCMAR Pilot-Project Awards are designed to meet the career development needs of scholars who have a demonstrated commitment to addressing health outcomes among older adult populations who experience high rates of disease burden or risk and/or scholars who are transitioning their existing research on populations who experience high rates of disease burden or risk to that of older adults. All eligible candidates are welcome to apply.  View application instructions in the Request for Applications (RFA)! Visit our submission website!
